This was my first major project.
This documentary was planned, shot & edited by myself. It main purpose it to create more awareness of the condition from an everyday persons perspective. Having suffered from Tourette Syndrome all my life, I was able to present this in a way no other televised production has been able too.
I don't agree with the way that TV exploit disabled people. From witnessed experience I know that the productions edited and aired always make any disabilities, not just Tourette's, but all "weird" disabilities, alot worse then they are, belittling the subject even further. It's sick and for that reason I created this production.
Tourette's Talk features three people, one included myself and the others are Tim Parry aka Draz and Brent Zillwood. It provides a detailed conversation on how we feel with our Tourette's, how it affects us & how it actually affects our daily lives and the lives of those around us.
There are around 300,000 people living with Tourette's in the UK, a neurological condition which can lead to vocal outbursts and physical tics.
This is a documentary about the story of three different Tourette Syndrome sufferers, each with a different degree of severity. Here you will learn what these three have experienced growing up, as well what goes on in their heads and how their Tourette's effect them.
This feature will cover everything from introductions through to their Tics and emotions, how it was growing up with Tourette's, where we see ourselves in the future, our upsides and even the Dark Side of Tourette's!
